Coach Bell has done a super job. The ladies rock.
Good at X’s and O’s, but not so much for people skills and player retention
We're talking about our soccer coach, not our football coach.
We might be the only women’s soccer program that “processes” players like nick Saban and Alabama
Huh?We might be the only women’s soccer program that “processes” players like nick Saban and Alabama
Huh?
recruiting classes have usually been >10 recruits a year. Very rarely do more than 3 last until senior year.
Have you seen our Men’s basketball program?!recruiting classes have usually been >10 recruits a year. Very rarely do more than 3 last until senior year.
Have you seen our Men’s basketball program?!
Do the men’s basketball players simply quit the program to become full time students after being a top 100 recruit in their sport? Time and time again.
dixon had a few players that were projects, academically ineligible, and a host of other issues. Truly zero similarities
so how much turnover is normal for a top twenty women's program?
how many of those girls after playing damn near non-stop for most of their lives decided the small amount they are getting in scholarship isn't worth the time and they realized they aren't going to play for the national team so they want to go be a regular college student?
that is why our son quit cross country his first year in college.
the time and training wasn't worth the scholarship money, he wanted to be a regular student, and the part time job he picked up more than made up the difference in money.
Duke’s women’s soccer turnover appears to be 10-20%, not >60% - they appear to take 6 recruits a year for the past 4 years. It looks like we’re taking 11 or more aka processing.
Similar scholarship dynamic to men’s baseball where the public schools have a cost advantage - so only fair to compare to other private like ND, Duke, Vanderbilt, etc.

or maybe a state school like unc who charges over 40K for out of state residents right?
