And bitched and complained about the game being moved...and had the means to go but didn't, just to prove a point...that no one cares about...you missed out on an amazing experience.

Minus 3.5 hours or so of the game, this has been a trip I'll never forget. Dublin has been amazing. The people have been so kind. I've laughed and fellowshipped with friends in ways that have filled my heart in ways that no other trip has. I understand the frustration with giving up a home game but thank you to the powers that be for giving me this opportunity that I wouldn't have otherwise taken.

Exact TCU payout won’t be disclosed as it is not for other private unis, but Kansas State (public) is the best comp: $2.25M to also give up its home game, with Aer Lingus/event organizers covering flights and much of the travel.

And total picture has to include Fort Worth economic impact. Visit Fort Worth says TCU home games impressively drive a 23% increase in visitor spending and a 35% jump in hotel revenue. For a Belichick-led UNC opener (not sure it would be a sell out?), VFW estimates $5M-$8M in gained Fort Worth economic activity across hotels, restaurants, bars, parking, retail, transportation, etc. for each sellout TCU home game.

I’m glad you were able to put some perspective on how much Fort Worth lost out on by moving the game. So, it was actually a loss for the city, students, and season ticket holders no matter how much the administration tries to put lipstick on the pig.
