Might be a bit of a dueling banjos thing going there.

Some of our XII mates have never had to play on odd days because of seeking exposure. In the CUSA/ MW days we played lots of nationally televised games, but they were everyday of the week. We get some of that now, but playing in Ireland and on non Saturdays is the way of the world for us. Tech has never done squat…ever, until last year and now they act arrogantly like Texas and BYU.I will take Friday night over Thursday night. The BIGXII is now a sideshow, just like the MWC/CUSA/WAC used to be. ESPN has their favorites, and they get Saturday all to themselves. Some of our XII mates have never had to play on odd days because of seeking exposure. It's not the networks job to govern college football, or college sports. It's their job to make money. The BIGXII is now a sideshow, just like the MWC/CUSA/WAC used to be. ESPN has their favorites, and they get Saturday all to themselves.
All Brewing frog is asking for is for some of the same adoration that ESPN had for a little private school in south Florida in the 90s. The "Networks" as you call them have had a confirmation bias to the highest degree for the Big 10, SEC, hell even the big east and ACC.It's not the networks job to govern college football, or college sports. You seem to want to blame the networks (ESPN, mainly) for TCU's place in the sports world and for the state of college sports, which is really dumb. The former is entirely a function of our low alumni number and general following (the dollars we generate for others), and the latter is entirely the fault of university presidents and administrators.
Well Oregon certainly did.Everything runs through Lubbock.

I have no idea what the idiot wrote, as I placed him on "ignore" over a year ago. Makes the perusal of Killerfrogs much more enjoyable without his near-limitless bile...All Brewing frog is asking for is for some of the same adoration that ESPN had for a little private school in south Florida in the 90s. Blaming ESPN for the demise of the PAC 12 is justified. ESPN is doing the same thing to the B12 that they did to the PAC and ACC starting ten years back. Pushing games into the midnight hour, modifying the coverage on a regular basis, promoting players at Big 10 & SEC schools on a 10-1 basis.
ESPN is Disney and if you can't get that through then so be it.
Once before (1994?) Texas Tech came to town on the day after Thanksgiving for a 10 a.m. game needing to win to become SWC champion for the first time in its history....Frogs won....Delightful.
