Yormark vs. Cody Campbell

I do agree with CC regarding Friday night games, but the conference signed the TV contracts, so that is what it is.
Ehh I see both sides of it. Sucks if you’re the host, but the exposure element is a huge upside. Especially when the SEC and BIG are stealing the spotlight on Saturday. I thought it was a really smart move. The Big 12 needs to find creative ways to stay relevant. But I will say personally, give me Friday night over 11AM Saturday.

That being said, I would be embarrassed if we had a rouge entitled booster running his mouth to the commissioner of the conference. Horrible look and certainly not a way to be granted any favors in the future.

Hard to think of a bigger DB than Cody Campbell. If your the TTU admin, are you okay with a booster running his mouth and making a fool of himself and your school to the commissioner of the conference?

Obviously not as bad (and disturbing), but this reminds me of that aggie booster who said that horrible stuff about Kevin Sumlin.

I think it's a real bad look and the school needs to tell him the shut the hell up. I'd be pretty embarrassed if one of our big money guys did that.

Campbell, in is gain of fresh big money, has forgotten basic math. He is one booster of one school in a conference of many others ... some of those with an axe to grind.

At the same time, maybe it will wake folks up to the problem that the new world of college sports is facing.

He‘s now the Chairman of the Texas Tech Board of Regents.

oh, hell, that's worse. bad enough when it's a booster. but when it is the chair of your regents ... real bad look.

one would think that their board, like any respectable org's board or commitees, would have gotten some sort of bylaws, etc. detailing where and when and how they should handle certain communications that could impact or bring eyes on the university.

Was I supposed to type something here?
CC is a little out over his skis here, and honestly I'm surprised he's jumping up and down about this right now. Considering the thrashing he recently took in Florida, I figured he'd still be in a hospital bed on a liquid diet...

As to Yormark, the story notes: "Of course, Yormark believes such a conference decision is above Campbell’s particular depth as a school booster." Oooh! Dripping with condescension, sir!

Sigh. Way to go, BIGXII.

Cody Campbell is a douchenozzle of epic proportions!! The epitome of “since I have money now I must be smart and everyone can’t wait to hear what I have to say.”

My friends that are still in admin on campus out there loathe him. But Tech is so starved for success and attention that most alumni and fans don’t care about his embarrassing behavior.
