Deion Sanders may be dealing with blood clots again.

Sanders coached much of Colorado’s 35-21 loss to TCU without a shoe on his left foot. After the game he said it was because his foot was in so much pain.

“I think I got more blood clots,” Sanders said after the game. “Cat’s out of the bag, alright. I think I got more blood clots. It don’t make sense. I’m hurting like crazy. I got a doctor’s appointment on Monday to see what time it is. So that’s what’s going on. I’m not getting blood to my leg, that’s why my leg is throbbing.

“I’m sorry to get that out, but thank you for noticing.”

ThrowbackFrog posted a pic of Colo players leaving the field without shaking hands. They might have just been concerned about their coach. He did not look good limping out there.

I feel bad for his health issues and wish him well, but I also think he's setting the sage to step away (eek, no pun intended) for health reasons after the season.

I like him for the most part and do truly feel bad for him and his sudden severe health issues at a relatively young age but then again he also chastised those of us who were smart enough to avoid the Covid clot shots that he worshipped. Unfortunately for him karma is a beyotch.

I tend to agree.

All the hype and excitement around the program has kind of faded away, now it's just gonna be a grind for him like it is for every other coach. I doubt he wants to stick it out much longer.

Peripheral vascular disease is a terrible issue. Sad to hear he has these health issues. I hope the procedure was a success. PVD tends to be a recurring issue that can briefly get better, but ultimately comes back and eventually leads to a series of amputations (toes--> mid foot--> entire foot--> below knee--> above knee). I hope he is not headed down that path.
