All the above posts have been spot on so the only thing I'll add is how much I am enjoying it here in Plattsmouth, just south of Omaha, in the new Fitzgerald Hotel owned fellow TCU alum Brett Clure. The hotel and the town are rife with historical architecture. The place is quiet (both the town and the hotel) and is a nice break from the city hustle bustle yet still only about 20 mins. from Rosenblatt. I highly recommend both the town and the hotel if you are able to make it up here for the rest of the CWS.

We got back last night from Omaha and people are right on about the warm reception from Nebraskans and the hatred of UT.

After the TCU game, we waited in line to get into the UCLA/Florida game through general admission. We weren't able to get in however, so we headed back to the hotel to watch the game there. We happened to be staying at the same hotel as the TCU players and we sat down in the lobby next to Kyle Starratt (red-shirting this year) to watch the UCLA/Florida game. Bryan Holaday, Jerome Pena, Brance Rivera, and Jason Coats and their friends and family also gathered around the TV as the game went on.

It was a really great experience. You could tell how excited these guys were to be in Omaha and to have just played an incredible game. They were very nice guys and all signed a ball for my 13 year old nephew who was a little shy when asking for their autographs. On the elevator ride up there were some little kids asking Coats if he was a player, and he said, "I'm the guy who threw the volleyball back into the stands" which of course the kids thought was awesome. They were each kind and friendly to everyone who wanted shake their hands and wish them luck.

Anyway I just wanted to say my very limited experience with some of these young men left me with the strong impression of CLASS. I'm really proud of these guys and wish them continued good luck.

I went up to the CWS about 5 years ago and last year. People 5 years ago did not really know about TCU and their were not any hats available. Last year when I went, as I walked up the street with all the shops and locals, other fans noticed my TCU hat and shirt. A lot of them wished that we were up there instead of UT and I noticed that almost every place that sold hats, had some kind of TCU hat.

Not here to argue about the play at 3rd, but starting quarterback/catcher B Holaday saw it as well. I was watching him the entire play.

The most important person in the park saw it. Of course, that was all he was supposed to be watching.
