Just did my World Cup fantasy draft, so yes....I am ready.

If you want a fun, quick educational 101 on the World Cup....go watch the "Men In Blazers" World Cup preview.  Brilliant stuff.

At first I was really pumped about that USMNT thing on ESPN, but then I realized it's more-or-less a giant World Cup advertisement.

I'll check out your suggestion, gee.

These two events happend on the same day 4 yrs ago. June 23 2010. Pretty cool day if you were a US soccer fan and TCU fan. It's was my birthday too and I admit I was hammerd having one of the greatest sports days ever.

Definite all time sports day. I remember posting in the last World Cup thread as that goal happened.

I'm going with a bold prediction for the US. Beats Ghana 2-1, ties Portugal 1-1, and then a 0-0 tie with a German team that had already secured advancement. 5 points and we move on. I hope for Brazil's sake that they win it all and if I had to pick a favorite it would be them. Argentina and Spain have to be in the discussion as well. My darkhorse is Belgium with loads of young talent.
