Wild Wing Bowl - Ticket Sales Looks bad

Every Buffalo Wild Wings location in Michigan and Texas should have a drawing/contest for a trip to the bowl. Trivia or whatnot. And, every BWW within driving distance of Phoenix should be giving away tickets, and all with additional prizes to be redeemed inside the stadium, with ticket and ID.

Arizona is pretty far...nobody wants to spend that much money (travel + lodging + tickets) go see this abortion of an offense on a 6-6 team playing in the freaking Buffalo Wild Wings bowl.

Global warming. It's balmy in Battle Creek. (I used that town for alliteration, not MSU location, numbskulls).

The bottom line is there's too many bowl games. It used to mean something to go to a bowl. Now about half of all the teams go. Same thing in high school playoffs.

Part of the problem is that the vast majority of the fans can get better seats for cheaper by not buying from the school.

All boils down to some extra practices and a nice trip for the team (and hopefully getting close to breaking even on the expenses).

Won a pair of Cowboys tickets for eating 12 blazing wings really fast not too far back. Narrowly missed a trip to NYC to see them play by a few seconds. Kind of indifferent about the Cowboys. I could probably be talked into tearing up my colon again for a free trip to see the Frogs.

You have to have a heck of a lot of spare cash and probably not the strongest relationships with your extended family to be able to justify flying to Arizona over the New Year period in order to see a meaningless neutral site game between two teams with a combined 11 losses. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the game because it's TCU football and we're playing a name-brand Big Ten school. I can't wait to watch it, on TV. If I had $500 to blow I could think of better ways to do it than going to this game. This 'aint the Rose Bowl.

I think it's a combination of too many bowls and a very soft economy. Money on consumer spending, charitable donations, etc is way off across the board. Hopefully some of these bowls will die off and we can get back to a reasonable number of games (around 20).
