Just saw this quote: "I talk to Mack every day, and he has not given any indication to me at all that he's stepping down," Red McCombs tells Kirk Bohls of the Austin Statesman. Can you imagine Gary spending time every day chatting up boosters? Wouldn't last long.

Coach P isn't going to UT bc right now Mack Brown is the head coach at UT. And until that changes, mentioning stuff like this is useless.





So shut up everyone who keeps wanting to talk about it.

Mack Brown is the best coach in the Big 12 and deserves a contract extension,
not the public derision and calls for his ouster that he has endured.

Mack Brown IS the Texas football program and he needs to remain the head coach for at least another decade to complete his legacy.

We all need to throw our firm support behind Mack Brown NOW.
We need to plaster ShaggyBevo and every other Horns board with
strong support for Mack Brown.

The know-it-alls on the American-Statesman sports staff, as of this morning, are publishing in the print newspaper in several Q and A columns, that there is no way that Mack will be fired after this season. There is a possibility that he will quit, but the UTx athletic department and Red McCombs (and others) will not force him out or upstairs.

That's as of this morning-- Dec. 1, 2012. And the journalists are quick to point out that if the K-State game is embarrassing, all bets about Mack staying are off.
