Please be baseball.
With the new version of college football. 2022 was the last chance. Not being negative, just real.
Yep. We had very, very little chance before. Now we have none, unless some major rule changes are put in place with regards to player acquisition and retention. I'm not holding my breath since every move they make seems to move in the opposite direction.

NCAA needs to be fired. NIL needs to be regulated. Salary cap. Transfer limitations. Just to say a few.

Everyone wants to blame the NCAA, but the NCAA doesn't control anything, the schools and conferences do. In other words, the NCAA is powerless, and always has been. If you're looking to point fingers at anyone for the current mess in college sports, point it at the Universities.

The only way we get any change toward the things you listed is if the Universities want that change.

The problem is that the courts made NIL what it is. What a student athlete is allowed to make based on NIL can't be regulated by the NCAA. Not sure how you fix this situation other than the oversight committee through the newly formed College Sports Commission which is not related to the NCAA.

Dan Jenkins was a great writer, but he had a most serious case of good ole days syndrome (especially as it related to golf, lol).

The style of play, yeah, I agree that they emphasize passing and movement more than the men. They just aren't very good at it. And all they'd have to do for men to start playing that way is take away the 3-point line, but as it is men have become so good at shooting 3's that it makes most mid-range shots not make sense from an analytics standpoint. So the pick and rolls and kick-out passes for 3's is the most efficient way to play offense.

Honestly, I don't enjoy the men's game all that much anymore for those reasons, but watching women is like watching a high school boys game in slow motion.
Dan had to negotiate a wide contrarian streak in him when he gave serious opinions as opposed to just breaking off an aphorism. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if he was being serious or controversial.

Agreed, Thus the reason I said the NCAA needs to be fired.

You sit in the final four...you are the leader.

There's also something unique about TCU women having their own soccer stadium and sport that seems like it would be a draw for recruits.
