Who Should Be the Next OC

Whoever it is has to be able to do what Rhett Lashlee did at smu with Dykes. He blended the power spread to the air raid stuff to get the run game.
but they also relied on tempo. SMU has modulated off that since getting in the ACC.

Bennett played in 10 games and took just under 60% of the snaps, which was 5th most on the team.
Out of the 7 linemen with at least 300 snaps, he graded out as TCU’s 5th best on PFF total average.
2nd best out of 7 at pass blocking, and 6th best out of 7 at run blocking.
Bennett is definitely valuable, but if he decides to stay at TCU in ‘26, hopefully he’ll be a valuable backup.
Where you find all those stats?

I think Ricker and Riley are on the list. Ricker has been a co-OC for several years. I’d at least let him call plays for the bowl. Give him a shot.

I think Dykes is really looking for a guy who can coordinate the passing game while keeping the offense balanced. I’m starting to think it’s not going to be a high octane air raid guy. I could see something west coast or pro style.

Ricker should have his hands full developing a competent O-line
