It’ll have to be a team with a quick fix turnaround opportunity in a major conference. Otherwise no way he will take the job and he will be stuck in that same situation as the coaches you mentioned. But he’s damn sure hungry to try to find the right opportunity.

If you make the playoffs to the final 4 even the final 8, it is a big big deal. Anyone who knows athletic performance and competition gets this. It has transformed/resurrected Miami Football. "Tournament Theory" economic research proves this survival of the fittest approach.

If you take a hard in depth look at the USC roster, you'll begin to understand the caliber of Talent that So Cal has. It is enough to win the NC. Every single player is wildly more talented than any player that CGP recruited and coached.

What do you know about Tournament theory athletic playoffs???? There is a longitude of studies about it over 40 + years.
If you want to be real, then respond with Chucky Hunter or Ross Blaclock or ANY other CGP player coached vs the current Roster @ USC. No joke or sarcasm. Simply be cool and respond to the previous sentence only or find a hobby like sculpture or script writing at the 90s tarrant county com college.

I kinda thought I was done with your irrationality. Don't be a shade tree Cro Magnon. simple.

I don't think he is actively seeking HC'ing jobs. He seems content contributing the way he has the past few years (special assistant, coordinator) and not having to deal with the NIL crap and portal landscape as a HC.

To quote him, "I love it, to be honest with you," Patterson said with a grin. "One of the good parts about being a coordinator, anything I really don't want to answer, I'm just gonna say, 'That's Coach Riley's question.' I've been waiting 20-some years to be able to say that."

He was taking a couple of years off. Probably a wise move. But he also wanted to hall of fame thing. You have to be out of real coaching for a certain time to get that. I think it’s funny he did that.

Damn, you sure take every chance to rag on Gary. His D looked good for three quarters against a bad team (I have no idea why they gave up points in the 4th; could have been subs in there). Why do you feel the need to disparage that?

As for me, I'll just say that we'll see what happens.

But if USC makes the playoffs for the first time ever, that would reflect well on Gary, not diminish the accomplishment of making the playoffs.

Your comments here make you seem odd.
