What's the Deal with Carp?

Carp is under a LOT of scrutiny by Cards fans, and not the good kind.

This year he has played every game and is batting .069 (2 hits in 29 ABs). And he's still batting FIFTH in the order?

And this is following on the heels of batting .186 last year and .226 the year before.

For the 3 years 2019-2021, he's batting .208 combined.

Anybody know, has he had some chronic injury or something? He is 35 years old, could just be aging.

At some point, every player hears you aren’t good enough to play anymore, hope it’s not his time yet, a trade/fresh start might be good

No, he's not injured. Cards fans are rough, "what have you done for me lately". He misses his old manager. He's striking the ball well, but it hasn't found the holes on the field. He has this year left on his contract and, yes, he might do well with a new environment. He works harder than anyone on the team and in fact, they go to him for workout inspiration. Nevertheless, I hope he gets it going soon.
