What Quarterback Max Duggan Admires About Coach Patterson
The junior from Council Bluffs, Iowa, talks about leadership and why he chose TCU

Why are you majoring in marketing?

I wanted to go into business. When I came down here on one of my visits, marketing professor Bob Akin talked to me and kind of persuaded me a little bit into it. I stay in touch with him all the time. He was one of the reasons I came here. And I’m now a marketing major.

I hope Max is looking forward to a future of making Cold Calls.

“Coach P is one of a kind. He’s not like most head coaches around the country. You watch college football and you see the head coaches are kind of relaxed and don’t really say a whole lot. Coach P probably loses his voice every day in practice because he’s working so hard. He’s really coaching our guys. I think it’s fascinating to see how smart of a guy he is and what he has done for this program for so long.”
