Wharton Journal Spectator: EBHS’s Slanina to sign with TCU

For East Bernard’s Ty Slanina, the big day is almost here.

Slanina, who committed to TCU last May as a junior, will make it official next week when he signs his national letter of intent to play football and baseball with the Horned Frogs.

Next Wednesday, Feb. 6, is National Signing Day, and Slanina will sign his letter around 1:20 p.m. in the old gym at East Bernard High School. ...

Every scouting report I have seen on him mentions his speed. Apparently that has improved by the year. A year under the strength and conditioning program here and he should be special. I think I read TCU told him that he would be be slated as a WR first. Interesting to see what his eventual position will be. Nice thing it can be anything, and hopefully what he likes is what his best position is and where the team needs him.

The signing party/announcement show on Wednesday will be fun. Plus, the coaches speak, and that is quite entertaining.

Come if you can.

GP's press conference is usually streamed live. Anyone know if that's going to be a FrogVision only thing? Or if they'll actually mic the reporters this time so you can hear the question?
