This will be his last game unless he works a bowl game, which he probably will. He has had a great career.

We needed Alabama to lose that game to make things interesting picking the field of 12. And Alabama didn’t play well enough to deserve that win. A Bama loss would have cracked the door open for Vanderbilt.

Was looking forward to watching UVA and Chandler Morris vs SMU. Never entered my mind that they would choke vs Cal, not with a championship game and possible playoff berth on the line, but it happened! Glorious.

Looking at it further, it appears the only common opponent for all 5 was Syracuse, who they all beat, so it went to winning percentage of conference opponents. Duke had the hardest conference schedule among the tied teams, drawing Virginia, GA Tech and Clemson and a rabble of at or near .500 teams (and Syracuse).

They really need to do away with that tax code of a tiebreaker rule and just say that unless one team beat all the other tied teams, the highest-ranked team gets the nod.
