Daily College Football Live Program Returns April 6
Chris Fowler Hosts First Week with Jesse Palmer & Mark May; Brent Musburger & Kirk Herbstreit Contributes on Opening Show
ESPN’s College Football Live — the weekday college football studio show providing in-depth analysis, news, interviews and more – will return Tuesday, April 6 and be aired generally at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN through the conclusion of the BCS National Championship Game (January 10 on ESPN).
The first week will feature three episodes – Tuesday, April 6; Wednesday, April 7; and Friday, April 9 – all on ESPN2 at 3:30 p.m. Chris Fowler will host the shows from Bristol, Conn. with analysts Jesse Palmer, Mark May and Andre Ware. Show details:
• Tuesday, April 6: The ABC Saturday Night Football announcer team of Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit will contribute elements from Columbus, Ohio. The show will include a recap of top off-season stories, developing storylines and a live interview with Alabama coach Nick Saban via satellite.

Wednesday, April 7: A coast to coast look at several teams with compelling storylines from ESPN analysts and reporters, including Florida (Desmond Howard), Notre Dame (Mark Schlabach), Ohio State (Herbstreit), Boise State (Ivan Maisel),
TCU (Craig James), USC (Jenn Brown) and Washington (Brock Huard). In addition, the show will include a segment with new Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville wearing a microphone during a team practice.
• Friday, April 9: Fowler, Palmer, May and Ware will reveal the College Football Live Top 25 poll.
Each week leading up to the beginning of the season will feature special week-long themed topics to the daily analysis, news and interviews content. Themes for upcoming weeks include (additional themes will be announced):
• April 12: A roundtable discussion with analysts Palmer, Ware and May. Scheduled topics include: how Notre Dame will be different under new coach Brian Kelly; potential effects of conference realignments; most anticipated early season non-conference games; players under pressure to enhance their play; and is the USC dynasty in the Pac-10 over.
• April 19: A roundtable discussion with Huard, Ware and Robert Smith. Scheduled topics include: what former quarterback will more difficult to replace; Florida’s Tim Tebow or Texas’ Colt McCoy; Boise State’s chances of a BCS National Championship and if the Mountain West Conference is more deserving of an automatic bid over the ACC or BIG EAST; can the Big Ten build on the momentum from 2009 and regain prestige; the coaches under pressure to win this season; and playoff vs. the current system.
• April 26: Mel Kiper and Todd McShay will discuss how teams will replace players drafted in the 2010 NFL Draft and preview the 2011 NFL Draft.
• May 3 and 10: A look back at the 10 best games of the 2009 season.
• May 17 and May 24: A discussion about the next 10 best players who are not currently “big” stars.
The 30-minute program will be aired each weekday generally at 3:30 p.m. with several of the most knowledgeable and experienced college football analysts. The show will examine every aspect of the game with highlights, analysis, breaking news, features, press conferences, interviews and more. College Football Live will also feature in-depth interviews with top coaches and players in the country, unique college football features and interactive fan polls.
