"We" should be excited by the prospect of being ranked, but the team definitely should not care. We've been hoping the on-field performance of this team these last 20 years have been enough to elevate the school into the upper tier of college football, and being ranked this week should be viewed as progress on that front. Nothing more; but, it would be a great step forward for the program as a whole.
