Waymon, Pachall, OLine, Fuller

This morning I re-watched a couple games from late last year and Kansas this year. A couple observations and thoughts...

1) Waymon James is under rated.... assuming he comes back better than ever, he should really put up some nice numbers being the clear #1 back. Also, I think he will have a fantastic NFL career.

2) Casey Pachall is under rated by a lot of people... he runs like a drunk giraffe but his passing is second to none in college football. We complain about the play calling with Boykin, but it was far worse when we had Pachall back there. Need to embrace his throwing ability. Also, I think he will have a remarkable NFL career.

3) Our OLine has gotten better as the year has gone on, somehow. And they are better than last year's OLine, or on the same level at worst. That being said, we've had two straight years of bottom 25% OLine in the college football. They got bailed out by Pachall's quick decisions at times, and Boykins running ability, but in general it hasn't been good. I can't remember a single time in the past two seasons where the announcers have said during the middle of a play "Pachall/Boykin has all kinds of time".

4) Corey Fuller is a bit under appreciated. He had a good career and I think we should be disappointed to see him go. Bryant and Gilbert have tons of talent and should fill in nicely, but Fuller was a nice player that I think would have put up some nice stats had Pachall stayed at QB.

Agree on all fronts. Getting Casey back is the key to 2013. Waymon is a close #2. He and Catalon will be a nice combo at RB, but all reports seem to indicate Aaron Green is going to be a stud.

If our OL does not play a lot better, none of that will matter. Nine wins tops.

Yeah I agree. The entire line was pretty weak from tackle to tackle. Foltz was the only guy with any sort of consistency and even he got beat a few times.

Give us the 2009 OLine next year, Pachall and WayJay and they set many TCU offensive records and we win 11+ games. Unfortunately, only 2/3rds are likely to happen.

No improvement on the OLine and we'll be high-fiving with a 6-6.

That makes no sense whatsoever. We just went 7-6 with a mediocre O-line, a depleted running game, and below average QB play. Add elite QB play and a healthy group of running backs, and we're bound to improve.

Agree with mediocre line and those upgrades we go 8-4 to 10-2. Remember LSU could be a loss which is 1 less win in OOC than 20112.

Andy Dalton was an effective runner, including zone read, avoiding hits while diving forward for extra yards. Casey could do the same.
