  1. Posted in another thread, but since this is a dedicated Carp thread, I'll put it here too...

Carpenter currently leads the NL in HR's, Slugging and OPS, is 2nd in NL WAR among position players, and 1st in NL offensive WAR.

  2. Carp said this yesterday: " My hr's are a mystery to me, I'm not trying to hit them. I was in a slump early on and made some adjustments to hit line drives. Something I did (don't know which one it was) gave me a swing that is causing the long balls. That's all I know for now, but the results are very interesting".

  3. Pretty interesting.

    Maybe it's just the salsa!

Whatever changes he's made are certainly working....

  5. Is that good?

  6. Last night's game with Washington was the best ball game I've seen in awhile.
Carp hit his 33rd. homer (3 run job) to put Cards up 6-3.
Nats tied it up in top of 9th.-- then DeJong hit walk off homer to win the game in bottom 9th.
Matt C. is having a great year and TCU gets mentioned a lot-- hope he keeps on tatering.

  7. He has 8 hr’s in his last 13 games and 16 in his last 26 games.

Carp is such a great ambassidor for TCU! So proud of him. Anything we can do to celebrate him we should. He’s no doubt the leading candidate for mvp!
