The funniest part is the reporting on how "annoyed" T. Boone Pickens is, with Missouri comments about how bad the academics are at TTech and of course Okie Lite (that OSU was included in the insult riled T-Bone).

I think Texas has pissed off everyone & really screwed up big time. I would think the remaining schools will jump at the first chance, the PAC-11 & USC is pissed and Osborne/Big11/Delaney will seek revenge. Even if you're Florida, Alabama or Auburn or the other SEC schools, you are going to be inclined to smack Texas back down now. At the first chance, these schools are going to push for an NCAA investigation that Texas won't be able to buy their way out of. Deloss and Powers have butchered this and it will eventually bite back.

If his goal was to increase the UT cash flow, then he succeeded. But the price was whatever fellowship remained in the rump Big XII and other Conferences around the country. If any doubt remained as to the blind avarice of UT, it is now totally dispelled.
The new money package for the Baylors and Okie Sts is nothing more than a bribe to continue being raped. A relationship like that can't last without the victims ultimately being listless and near-dead. Again, Baylor comes to mind. The backstabbing and NCAA attention will annihilate this abomination before too long. UT has gotten away with so much for so long, and there is no reason not to snitch on them now what with so much bad blood amongst the schools now.

If I were anyone other than Texas, I would make sure the TV check is good before spending any money. The devil is in the details.
