Agree. He got picked on some toward the beginning, particularly with Iowa State, but he's definitely answered the challenge.

If Garrett can come back healthy, that's a pretty stout 2-deep at CB (Verrett, White, Jenkins and Garrett).

Completely agree. There's going to be a hell of a competition for that spot between White, Jenkins, and Garrett (if healthy).

I think it's simple math. Our defense is going to be stacked next year. Does anyone think we can be top 10 or top 15 in the nation?

Well, we were #16 in total defense this year, return 21 of our top 22, and are scheduled to add guys like David Jenkins, David Johnson, Travoskey Garrett, and Deryck Gildon to the fold. So, yes.

We ended this year at #16. I will be shocked if we aren't top 10 next year, and I'd put a 51% chance we are top 5. Maponga leaving is the only thing that could de-rail this prediction a little bit. Although even then, Top 15 easy.
Verrett, White, Olabode, SCarter, and Hackett are going to destroy in the secondary. Fields, Hunter, Pierson/Lewis, Maponga/McFarland are going to slaughter up front. LB is the big question, but I'm confident they will be serviceable. If they aren't, 4-1-6, Kindred comes in.
