UT Refusal, cowards.

I'm not going to says this is confirmed but I heard the openly refused to play A&M in the cotton bowl. If this is true, what a bunch of entitled cowards. Can't say this behavior from then surprises me. IMO you accept the first bowl you're invited to or you don't play at all. This should be a rule.

I don't think there is ANYWAY, the Cotton Bowl even made the call after NIU made the Orange Bowl. They are juiced over this matchup.

It will definitely be a better matchup I agree. But it definitely sounds like something UT would pull. "We know we're gonna lose so we're just gonna refuse to play"

I would've like to see Texas get stomped. They have their complex and I'm sure after last year they think they're the best team, which just isn't true. Too bad they don't have to guts to back it up. I think they just want to be able to say they got the last win of the series.

Again, do we know this happened? As I found out earlier this evening, apparently the LaTech thing did happen so I'm not doubting, just asking.

Well what I'm specifically referring to is actually not an old rumor because I'm talking about the fact that they actually declined an invitation, which could have only happened today. I'm not talking about the rumor that they didn't want to go, that is old. Not wanting to go and actually declining are two different things.

Louisiana Tech turned down an Independence Bowl invitation to play Louisiana-Monroe a few days ago in hopes of getting a better invitation. They seemed to think they were going to get a Heart of Dallas invitation, which makes me wonder if there were feelers because people assumed Oklahoma was going to the Sugar Bowl and there would be room for a Big 12 replacement in Dallas. I suspect there is a lot of back room, unofficial talk that takes place. Anyway, they ended up with no bowl game.

It is hard to imagine that UT would have had any opportunity to play in the Cotton Bowl against anybody this year. OU is a much more attractive Big 12 representative
