That’s one heck of a cop out. Sonyou’d never compare players and their physical skills and abilities? So you definitely don’t consider recruiting evaluations legitimate or worthwhile. And the transfer portal…totally dumb to compare athletes in the portal versus those in your current roster. Just put names in a hat and pick them? Or read their views on life? Maybe see how they sound when talking to a crowd on a microphone? Come on man, comparison is literally over 50% of what being a fan entails.

I had the same thought. If so, maybe 8-10 designed QB runs a game could help fix the aversion.

The new offensive coordinator with his new offense and new QB had a poor showing in the season’s first game played six time zones away in the rain.
I wish we would open our seasons at home with a body bag game.
We will know more after the second game. I expect to see a lot of improvement in the next two games.

If you would have been at Argyle game vs Oak Ridge from Ca. you would have seen a 6’4” 220 QB from Ca that could and did hit WR 40-50 yards down field, AND 10 yards over the middle and did not hesitate to run when 20 yards of grass was wide open. Led his team back in the 4th quarter from 13 down. Guarantee he won’t be playing Ivy League football next year.

any chance that an open lane at the Ivy League level is not near as tight as at the p4 level? (same concept of what's open for a throw in the pros is much tighter than college)
Kinda hard to write this kid off just yet considering all the different variables.

Levels of talent and competition huh…well there’s a lot going on in case you’ve missed it. Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Indiana, and about 5-10 other programs get the mega-studs. The talent gap between them and TCU is bigger than it’s been in a very long time and only getting bigger. The talent gap between TCU and the very top of the Group of Six isn’t what it used to be. And it’s only going to keep shrinking. Eventually we will be with them baring some type of major overhaul of the entire system. Right now TCU has a deeper cast of players than the very best Group of Six programs. The best players though are closer to each other than you’re assuming.
Okie dokie, the dude was a top 100 recruit out of high school. He wanted to go to the mountains because he loves to fly fish and snowboard. So he goes to Wyoming then decides he wants to come back to Texas and play for a winning program. TCU would have won in Dublin with him at QB. Craig was the QB at Harvard playing on some very average teams but he’s clearly legitimate compared to a guy with way more skins on the wall out of Southlake Carroll.
