US Open golf thread & pick-em game

Redeemed an otherwise incredibly boring Open. But In 25 years no one will be talking about how difficult it was to watch...they'll be talking about the Putt Heard Around the World.
What an incredible stroke of luck it was for Hovland to hit his shot where he could give Spaun a read on that putt. I guess it was payback for that shot that hit that flag stick and went back 50 yards.

Scores got tighter in Round 4. While my Superbru leaderboard hasn't updated, I think the final results of the KF.c pool (sans @froginmn & @gohornedfrogs) are:

-29 @ShreveFrog
-32 @bc puckett
-32 @Realtorfrog
-34 @Putt4Purple
-35 @hometown frog

Congrats to ShreveFrog and thanks to all for playing! Congrats to J.J. Spaun, national champ, and to Oakmont for being a great host site.
Ha - I would have tied @ShreveFrog but lost the tiebreaker for inability to follow instructions. Shreve - maybe we can have a putt off. Join me on the ninth green at 9 pm.

To much credit and or blame is on the Caddie. The golfer is responsible for everything pertaining to his game. The only thing a caddie should do is carry the bag and that’s it! A lot of spoiled guys rely on others for their own failures!
Having read this I understand now why he fell on his face at the U.S. Open. My thoughts on Morikowa has now changed. I doubt he wins another PGA tournament again. Not joking!

Caddies hardly ever get much credit or blame, at least from the public. Ultimately the player is responsible for everything, I think they all are aware of that. But deflecting blame is almost a hallmark of great golfers,….be hard on everyone else so you don’t beat yourself up.

They just shouldn’t do it in press conferences unless they want to look like an ass.
