I feel like we get hosed in these situations more often than not. Pathetic.

I like playing University of North Texas more than some of the other teams we bring in for a beat down, but not in exchange for a P4 opponent.

At least University of North Texas might actually show up to fill some their visitor's section. Stanford doesn't even go to their own games. And the Mean Green are a comparable program these days to Stanford.

Home games the next two seasons: Gambling, Arkansas State, WVU, Kansas, Kansas State, Utah, North Texas, Sam Houston, Arizona State, Tech, Baylor, and Houston. Feel the excitement. It's definitely worth double what they were charging when we had Texas, OU, and SMU on the schedule.
Pretty easy solution: do not reup your season tickets. Go to the games you want. Enjoy what you can.

Welcome to the new reality of college football. It will only get worse after the Big 10 and SEC expand to 20 teams each and kick the rest of us to the curb. We'll still get to play Tech, Baylor, KU and SMU again after that so at least those games will be fun.

I doubt it. They could not sell out their stadium last year when they had a great team. Now, all of those coaches and players are gone and they are a shadow of that successful team. I bet they won't bring 1,000 fans.

They did not do that the last time they played us at ACS. That was when we had LT and basically gave it to him all day, played good defense and won one of the most boring game I have ever seen. There wasn't 20,000 fans in the stands then. Maybe there will be more next year, but not much more.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer today, but the future doesn't look bright, especially when it is obvious that we have no money and no power going forward.

When have we not gotten hosed? Genuinely asking. Seems 100% of the time it’s this scenario.

University of North Texas isn’t a terrible game. They were good last year! Yes they lost their entire team, but you know they bringing records up with recruiting.

Sometimes you gotta beat up little brother to show them you’re still the king on the mountain. This what this game is. Also is Stanford in a power conference? I thought the ACC was trying to be like the Ivy League and going FCS.

Stanford has a better chance at beating Vanderbilt at home than they do beating the Frogs at ACS. Looking forward to that 2028 non-conference for Stanford of Fresno State, Portland State and San Jose State.

I thought you guys owned TCU and weren’t afraid to play us?
You guys were the ones who "paused" the series, so we decided we'll just play Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and LSU instead!

Realistically though I'm not sure it makes sense for any P4 school to play two P4 OOC games with a 9-game conference schedule. Stanford already had Vanderbilt on the docket for 2027. A lot of ACC and SEC schools had scheduled multiple P4 OOC games before the move to a 9-game conference schedule was announced and are now cancelling some of those games.
