Tyler Mathews?

So...what does anyone have any update on the development of this KS kid? Let's assume (not debate) that CP comes back next year, could TM be the back-up after his redshirt year? If this is the case...then I'd assume GP would find some way to get Boykin on the field just for his athletic ability.

I seem to recall the Mathews was a 4* stud QB and had his pick of schools...similar to Casey.

I'm not looking to debate if CP comes back or who should be the starting QB....this is purely a question of how the development of Mathews is coming along? Is he ahead/behind where we would want a QB to be?

My guess is that he could beat out TB2 for the 2nd string job. However, this all hinges on what kind of Casey Pachall we are getting back.

This is something that is being overlooked. CP may not be ready when he gets back. Unless his therapists are Running routes and catching balls for him, he's probably going to be rusty. And it's not guaranteed that he falls right back into the development trajectory he was on before he left.

That's true. Joe Kane from the mighty wolves of ESU didn't come back from rehab with his head right. Good thing is Pachall has an entire spring and summer to get his head right with ball. Look at this pic of Kane, look at his eyes, he wasn't into it when he came back....distracted.

Great freaking movie. Favorite scene is the film review with Mack...

Assumedly, he'll have the entire spring to get back into shape, and I'm sure if he is planning on playing again, that he's already been getting work in.

One of the reporters on the BWW Bowl telecast said she had talked to CP's father, and he was going to outpatient meetings and AA meetings three days (each) per week.

He's got time to work out, and physical training is part of addiction therapy. So, there you go.

Was at the game so I didn't hear that... thanks for sharing! That's really awesome... glad he seems to be taking it seriously... and I have no doubts he's working his arse off to be ready to seize this one last opportunity he has.

A driven, motivated, sharp and CLEAN Casey is pretty awesome to think about. I sure hope it all works out like everybody wants it to!

back to the original question...how is TM developing? Anyone in the know?

Have you seen how GP guards his practices? If he could close games to the public, he would.

This is the question on everybody's mind, and no one knows the answer. No one who posts on here, anyway.

Thank you Boykin for all you did in 2012 but he cant be our starting quarterback next year, with or without Pachall.

Heck, Casey as he was was awesome to think about. Not sure he wasn't "CLEAN" on gameday. By all reports he was definitely driven, motivated and sharp though.
