Tulsa World: Sooners close well to overcome TCU

NORMAN — The Oklahoma Sooners didn’t play particularly well against TCU on Saturday afternoon, but they won anyway. They won after trailing most of the game. They won when they easily could lost.
The same thing happened against Texas on Feb. 17, and then at Texas Tech on Feb. 21.
So while there are things for fans to fret about coming out of OU’s 67-60 victory over TCU in snowy Norman, the Sooners should take solace in the fact that they are finding ways to win games that they lost throughout November, December and January.
That is a crucial development as they charge into March with a 20-8 record, an 11-5 mark in the Big 12 Conference and within a game of first-place Kansas in the league standings with games against Iowa State (10-6 after losing the Kansas State on Saturday) and KU to come. ...
