Tribune-Review: West Virginia receivers eye consistency entering game at TCU

Daikiel Shorts opened his Twitter account Feb. 25, 2014, and tapped a four-word declaration, his only entry during an otherwise busy day at West Virginia.
“Crazy how God works,” he wrote.
Almost 30 Twitter users retweeted the entry, and 16 tagged it as a favorite. Only one responded.
“Forreal bruh,” David Sills answered.
Sills, a star quarterback at Eastern Christian Academy (Md.) at the time, and Shorts, then a freshman receiver for the Mountaineers, shared a friendship that stemmed from their time at Red Lion Christian Academy (Del).
Neither of them would anticipate how much that Twitter exchange would apply to each player's football career during the next two seasons. ...
