MANHATTAN — It took until the middle of the season, but the pieces have fallen into place on the Kansas State interior defensive line that is making the unit the force expected in preseason evaluations.
 
Travis Britz has been a mainstay at one tackle position, coming off a strong performance against Oklahoma State with two sacks and five tackles. Valentino Coleman and Topeka redshirt freshman Will Geary have shared time at the other spot, and now highly touted junior college transfer Terrell Clinkscales has made an impact the past two games.
 
“Looking back to early in the season, we’ve come a long way,” Britz said. “It’s the attitude of keep getting better every day and don’t be satisfied with what you’re doing or take anything for granted. Coach Mo (Latimore) has molded us into the defensive linemen we are now, but we still have a long way to go but with time and effort we’ll get to where we want to be.” ...
