The last person to distract the Kansas State football team is Bill Snyder.
Or perhaps just as importantly, the last person to be distracted is Bill Snyder.
The coach acknowledged making a mistake, which in the process embarrassed the university, he said, by appearing in a political advertisement for Pat Roberts in the senator’s bid to retain his seat in a tightly contested race against challenger Greg Orman.
Snyder issued an apology. Roberts’ campaign agreed to drop the TV spot.
If there was any confusion on the part of Snyder in regard to the support he was providing a politician he termed his “friend,’’ it is hard to ascertain. He was filmed providing a testimonial on who he was voting for in the U.S. Senate and praised Roberts’ qualities. ...
