I see the prices of Cowboys season tickets in the 10s of thousands of dollars, yet I see "average Joe and kids in the stands when I watch the games on TV. And they are almost always SOLD OUT. How does that happen?

Corporate people passing tickets onto vendors, customers, their families.....

I understand that the bigger the program the more the demand. But do you really think TCU can sell out the Jerry Dome when playing a school as far away as the Beavers?

Do you really think, with the Beavers, TCU can fill 80,000 seats with tickets at $150 for bad seats?

No, and I don't think anyone suggested that was the case

It's a made for TV event just like the Poinsettia Bowl and all the other MWC bowls, except this time it's a regular season game. With 20k in a 80+ thousand seat stadium it's going to look really bad and it will probably be the last time TCU gets invited to play there...I hope I'm wrong.

So what? I'd rather play at ACS anyways (especially when the rennovations are done).

Economically bad move on pricing, and the only people getting screwed are the fans that attended. (even though I don't like it, I'll be one of them)

No. I don't think we could sell it out vs. Baylor either. or OU. or USC. Getting screwed? If it ain't worth it to you, don't go. I would pay way more than that to see TCU play another good team in a stadium I would pay to go to anny other way.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't hurt Jerry to sell tickets for a little less. Maybe, something around the $100 for decent seats and $150 for the epic seats. He would definitely get a better turnout than what he will get for such crazy high prices! We had 50,000+ when we gave half the upper deck to high school kids.

Youre' right, but since when was that ever a factor in the pricing of anything. Not sure if that was a typo, but the good seats are going for $150 if you buy them from TCU.

No, but I also don't think we could fill 80,000 if tickets were free.

When the vote was up back in whenever, Fort Worth residents didn't have a say, but a chunk of Fort Worth Taxes were involved in the construction of the Death Star; Arlington benefits, not Fort Worth. Thus is the SNAFU nature of Politics and taxes...

Good grief.

What is the "breaking point" for most of you? $200 $500 $1,000 per ticket? It seems like these guys get money like this because the general public ALWAYS justifies paying them by saying, "It's a one time deal" or "I'm rewarding myself"!.

As long as people stay in line, owners like Jerry will push the envelope. I see the prices of Cowboys season tickets in the 10s of thousands of dollars, yet I see "average Joe and kids in the stands when I watch the games on TV. And they are almost always SOLD OUT. How does that happen?

Not sure what the breaking point for me is, but it is way higher than $150, especially when home games are dirt cheap. My other season tickets cost more than this for every single game and they don't play anybody near this good at home.

There is nowhere I'd rather be than JerryWorld on Sept. 4.

So are they serving beer at this game or not?

This will determine how I feel about the prices.

Yes, but the beers are also $150 a piece!

It's called not looking at the big picture.

Then he's going to have to clue me in on how FW should have gotten a say in building anything in Arlington, or that what FW taxes went into the building of the Death Star.

Just saying he doesn't have the big picture. I'd also like to see where FW coughed up taxes for the DS.

They sold beer for the college games played at the Death Star last season. Price was $8 for a 16 oz. plastic bottle. No souvenir cup. If you do buy beer there, please tip your beer slinger! I used to sell beer at the old Texas Stadium and at the Death Star until Jerry decided that he didn't want to allow us to have tip cups. No tip cups = no tips, so most people quit. :(

Well if you count the Tarrant County commissioners giving some funds for street improvements around the DS partially paid for by Fort Worth citizens tax dollars, then he might be somewhat right. But thats not any contribution for the actual building.
