Ticket prices for Oregon State

I don't care what the price is. I have 5 month to save for it, including my plane ticket. Well I just purchased the plane ticket (actually 2, wife). I don't understand what the big deal is for 1 game. Man, we are spoiled. Horned Frog football has been the best entertainment for the money for over a decade.

At a moment like this, you just want to say thank you Jerry. We paid for it with our taxes and get none of the benefits.... at least in Fort Worth!

Stub hub has some in the nosebleeds for $150. I don't think so. Doesn't include whatever the outrageous parking price is.

same for the Fiesta. Prices will come down as it gets closer to game time.

Big time football isn't cheap. You know of any other top 10 program with tickets anywhere near as cheap as TCU's?

What do you think Jerry should do? Sell cheaper tickets to people in the area? Does ANYONE do that?

TCU had the best level (100?) for $150 each. I think they had two other price levels and the higher level seats were $75. Parking was $40 or there is a bus service from TCU for $20 per person. I figure this will be my one and only time to see a game at Jerryworld, unless TCU plays there again sometime so I went for it. Not sure about the parking or bus, depends on where I stay either around TCU or in Arlington. I think I have until May 14th to decide.

When I was in Fort Worth a couple weeks ago I got to see five football practices. This team has a chance to be real special if it all comes to pass.

A couple problems with this.

A. No one has seats yet. Cowboys have not done any presale yet, so no one can have any tickets to sell. Cowboys as of last week did not even know if there would be a presale and could not give a date they would know by.

B. You can still get tickets through TCU ranging from 150 to 75. (You won't know your seats, but you will at least know what "tier lvl" you will be on.

Cowboys PSL holders will be able to order. Those are probably what is already on stubhub. They don't have tickets in hand or even know location/price. They are probably just listing these high to see if they can sell them in order to decide whether or not to actually buy them (since they have no intent of going themselves).

I complained about ticket prices also, but I dont want to miss this game so I threw down for 2 of the $150 through TCU.

I cant remember who said it on here, but I think as the season gets closer, the hype for this game will grow from what it is now. The anticipation is already growing for me at least.

My son and I love sitting up in the nosebleed section, but my wife has a thing about heights, so...we're going for the section just above field level. Three tickets on the $high$ side, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

We look at this as a mini-bowl game. A great way to start the season, followed roughly four months later by our next BCS bowl game (dare I dream its in Glendale?).

Two in the good seats, please, this is such a wonderful problem to have!

Yeah this person listing could be assuming there will be a pre sale. My friend is a Cowboy PSL holder, and called Thursday to see if he could get tickets and they said they had no information on when they would be able to purchase them. TCU will have/ know the ticket locations by the 14 of May b/c that is when the cowboys will sell to the general public.

My friend was just telling me that typically they can pre buy at a minimum a month in advance and we are now under a month and the cowboys ticket office just said they "assume" they would have the option to buy them, but had no information, so seemed weird.

If they have a PSL, they will be able to buy them. Period.

I do think the prices are outrageous, and I think Jerry is missing the boat. Would you rather sell 20,000 seats at a ridiculous price, or 60,000 for a little bit cheaper. All of us nutjobs on the board are going, we eat, breath and crap horned frog football. But the casual fan will stay away, hence the 20,000 tickets that will be sold. If the tickets were 40$/75$/115$ then you could get a lot more people to go.

I dont think the difference between $115 and $150 will change alot of minds. This game is going to look empty on tv regardless.

It's a made for TV event just like the Poinsettia Bowl and all the other MWC bowls, except this time it's a regular season game. With 20k in a 80+ thousand seat stadium it's going to look really bad and it will probably be the last time TCU gets invited to play there...I hope I'm wrong.

I understand that the bigger the program the more the demand. But do you really think TCU can sell out the Jerry Dome when playing a school as far away as the Beavers? Economically bad move on pricing, and the only people getting screwed are the fans that attended. (even though I don't like it, I'll be one of them)

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't hurt Jerry to sell tickets for a little less. Maybe, something around the $100 for decent seats and $150 for the epic seats. He would definitely get a better turnout than what he will get for such crazy high prices! We had 50,000+ when we gave half the upper deck to high school kids. Do you really think, with the Beavers, TCU can fill 80,000 seats with tickets at $150 for bad seats?

When the vote was up back in whenever, Fort Worth residents didn't have a say, but a chunk of Fort Worth Taxes were involved in the construction of the Death Star; Arlington benefits, not Fort Worth. Thus is the SNAFU nature of Politics and taxes...

What is the "breaking point" for most of you? $200 $500 $1,000 per ticket? It seems like these guys get money like this because the general public ALWAYS justifies paying them by saying, "It's a one time deal" or "I'm rewarding myself"!.

As long as people stay in line, owners like Jerry will push the envelope. I see the prices of Cowboys season tickets in the 10s of thousands of dollars, yet I see "average Joe and kids in the stands when I watch the games on TV. And they are almost always SOLD OUT. How does that happen?
