BIG for me in the sense of a young team, going into Austin before nearly 100,000, told they didn't belong and couldn't compete, not only did but won. Not Rose Bowl BIG but BIG. As a result BIGGER ones to come.

Real good chance that this was the best chance for the longhorns to beat us for the next 2-3 years. Winning could start a streak and THAT would be huge

Once it happens regularly, it won't be a big deal, but since that's the first time we've won down there since 19 and 67, I'd say, yeah, it's kinda of a big deal.

Not as big as Rose Bowl
Bigger than WVU
Probably on par with Boise St only because Boise St was a more exciting game but the hate for UT is high....so it equals out.

I think the Horns have a plucky little team that showed a lot of grit. If they keep it up, those boys will make their mark someday.

I understand,but, that is kind of irrelevant given that we haven't exactly had the opportunity to play down there very often. How many times in the past 6 years would we have curbed stomped UT?

It is a good win this season with all that has gone on. All the talk about not winning since 1967 is overstated. We have only played them once since the break up of the SWC and now, during the GP era (the last 12 years or so), we are 1-1. Of course, now that we have won the game, this series should get more interesting with us playing them each year.

This win CANNOT be downplayed, even if UT was 5-5.

Recruiting BIG.
National TV audience BIG.
Evil Empire BIG.
Historic rivalry BIG.
Conference game BIG.
Young team morale HUGE.

Tape it. Rewatch it. Enjoy every moment.

Rose bowl was bigger nationally. Texas win was bigger for in state. Winning this one under these circumstances could mean a bunch more are coming....

If Texas was undefeated and Top 5, then it would be Rose Bowl Big, but by some fans this will get dismissed the same was that OU in 2005 got dismissed. "Oh yeah you beat us with our worst Quarterback in 15 years and we were 8-4 and it didn't really count".

I agree that this is roughly on par with Boise. Boise had the home winning streak and we hadn't won in Austin since South Vietnam existed.

Winning next year will probably be bigger. Forget being overlooked. And they'll have the RRR, then a bye, then come to AGC with revenge on their minds. If things go well against LSU and TECH, that might be a top 10-20 matchup at the end of October.

Also, re: the 1967 comment - that is significant, regardless of what MIGHT have happened if we'd played the last few years. And the SWC broke up in 95, so there was a long streak between 67 to 95. We don't need to make excuses... We won. Just embrace the fact that this win signals to UT once and for all that were not the same team from those years.

"Like" has nothing to do with it. I loved this win and I'm really excited about it.

But it doesn't begin to approach the elation and satisfaction I felt after humbling the Badgers at the Rose Bowl in front of a much larger TV audience. Not even close.

Come ON...this was nowhere near Rose Bowl BIG...we aren't Tx State for cryin out loud!

We are TC freakin U damnit! Have some respect for our school and this program and acknowledge that our recent accomplishments are impressive.

We have played UT many times, we have beaten them many times, we will beat them again (hopefully very soon). There is a very distinct chance that we will NEVER EVER EVER play in the Rose Bowl, the GRANDDADDY OF THEM ALL, ever again.

Last night was BIG...Rose Bowl was HUUUUGE
