You can argue that you want them to be more active in the pash rush, but they have been solid against the run so far. They’ve been totally hung out to dry by an OC who refuses to establish the run across 4 quarters.

If people would take some time to look at Tim of Possession (T.O.P.) and the causation not correlation to wins over last few years.

Makes me wonder why we have heard nothing about Kazadi over last couple years. Remember how much he was featured in '22 & '23? People are born with certain innate traits based on lineage. Traits are similar to characteristics in that traits are pretty much static over a person's life. As I said here 3 days back, TCU Ricker/Dykes/Briles need to start looking at the RS Freshman and true Fresh along the OL.

Well, here it is again. These are the possible baby faced killers who I think may be a better starting OL than the current OL.

Logan Schram 6'6" 325 offers Utah, Tamu (Not Temu Obama), OU, TN, Auburn, KU. Has an extremely high Nach score. Need to achieve is off the charts.

Creece Brister 6'5" 325 from a strong athletic family. What does he have that the staring Ol do not? Better hand skills, significantly better core strength.

Killian Registe 6'6" 310 Better Hair than any of TCU starters over than last 12 years except for Steve Avila. Reportedly, he has better feet than most TCU lineman today. quicker/stronger feet means better passpro. If this guy is being hazed about his hair and goofiness, I can only imagine this would elevate play.

Samir Camacho 6'4" 295 soaking wet. meanest badger of the bunch.

Tobias Steppes 6'6" 300 kid with a hunky-dory demeanor. He has a wide wing span and lean body mass that will serve him well.

Sure. I've had neophytes and sycophants criticize my take on the OL basically because if they haven't "cracked the starting lineup" I remind everyone again, who is making the decisions who should play.

I completely understand that some of these youngsters are injured. Remember there is a cultural/organizational norm to "push" the younger guys down especially the more talented ones towards injury to move to Grey shirt/redshirt.

Correct. Both Tackles consistently grade out significantly less than the IOL

B.T-W is a decent run blocker, but his pass blocking is the absolute worst on the team. He gave up the bull rush sack in the 4th Qtr. where Hoover had the ball stripped out of his hands.

Hughes is terrible at both pass & run blocking, but run blocking is the worst.
The coaches tried to split snaps using both Hughes and Harris against ASU.
They thought fresh players may play better, but Harris was so bad they had to give up the idea.

Yep. I know I’ve barked this plenty of times, but Ricker should have lost his job last year. Dude hasn’t developed a single lineman. What does it matter how well he recruits if he can’t develop the guys he gets.

100%, although I didn’t know he was supposed to be a great recruiter.
I guess SD keeps defending him, as he hired Ricker, who had 2 good line years at SMU. …..but he didn’t recruit those players, they were already baking in the oven. (Like Alan Ali)

So far, I’m not impressed. Our line is Jello and these 3 tackles were recruited in ‘22-‘24. I realize Hughes is just a freshman, but we should have better.

They have got to move some money, currently aimed at other positions, and use It for recruiting a better grade of O Linemen!

Other than Schram, the rest you mention are dealing with injuries.

What on the planet is your point? Have you ever heard of phantom injuries? " Phantom Injuries" are knee, ankle, shoulder, labrum, toe turf and the rest. Phantom injuries do not prevent effective movement. 90% of CFB players have injuries. As I've said before, The TCU staff has a tendency to label true freshman with Phantom Injuries. There is a massive, grandiose effort to X Shirt True Freshman by this program along with RS freshman. I find it extremely unbelievable that 5 out of 6 true freshman above have injuries to keep them out of the lineup

Play them now!!! The primary reason TCU played better in the back half last year was because of the young guys like Tristan Johnson & Travis Jackson on DL. IF TCU staff waits until 4 games to go with IA State this will verify my point. We are not even talking Witten Van Hoy.
