The Trentonian: Second-half surge lifts Rider past TCU in Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- For two straight games, Rider has been an underdog against a team from a more high-profile conference.
And in two straight games, the Broncs have won convincingly -- most recently in a 76-61 victory over TCU Saturday in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic.
Playing a team that had won its first two games by 20 or more points apiece, Rider overcame a six-point halftime deficit for a thoroughly impressive win, its third in four games to open the season.
"We were able to get in a great rythm in the second half," Rider coach Tommy Dempsey said. "We kind of fed off our ability to stop them. We rebounded and defended much better in the second half which I think kick-started our offense. Once we get into a rythym offensively we can be a handful." ...
