The Harris/Biden Administration: Coming Together to Build Back Better

Sounds harsh but people do need to understand that government cannot provide the freedom of financial independence, unless your business happens to be reliant on public policy. Also part of the fed’s strategy in raising interest rates is to increase unemployment to help bring down inflation, although not by 40-50%.
I think the speaker is saying unemployment needs to go from 3% to something like 5%; not that the employment rate needs to be 40%. 40% would be crazy, since peak unemployment during the Depression was still under 25%.

Y’all see the Boebert video from the show she got kicked out of? It’s interesting. Confirms the story from the theater, including the vaping she denied. Also confirms she’s got an amazing rack. Holy hell.

I think the person quoted was talking 40-50% unemployment which is insane. When I referenced fed targeted unemployment I didn’t mean anything near that range.

Paxton acquitted of course. Only 2 R senators voted for conviction on any of the articles. One of them was local (Kelly Hancock).
Rumor has it he has some compromising material out there that is being used for blackmail. Let's say this footage shows him engaging in.... inappropriate activities

He is my state senator. would be toast if he were up in 2024 but he is not until 2026. Voters have short memories. He will run ads and mailers about how he needs to be sent back to Austin to "fight the liberal agenda" and will likely win the nomination again

Texas is not the reliable red state many think it is. Voters here have been gaslit by the Bush family and the professional Republican class for so long they can't see what is looming on the horizon

'93 was forever ago, but amazing the 360º view on debt this country has taken since.

National Debt was only $4 trillion in 1993. All the noise about Reagan’s deficit spending to destroy the USSR only put us $4T in the hole. It was only about $6T right before 9/11. Around $10T when Obama became President. It has more than tripled in the last 15 years to $32T. The chart looks stupid and anyone can see the trend is unsustainable.

I say do it. Start with a living wage of $32/hr. for the help, including check out and bagger staff. No racist product lock-down devices or security cages. Let crisis counselors handle security. Use COC procurement specialists and show those competing Jewel-Osco, Trader Joe's and Costco buyers the what for. Should be a Chicago profit center for years to come.
