The Detroit News: MSU's Lawrence Thomas ready to go, no matter where he plays

Tempe, Ariz. — There has been plenty of talk since Michigan State closed the regular season that there could be some changes to the offensive game plan.
Some believe there will be more running from the quarterbacks while others expect only minor tweaks.
But one thing most would not envision would be a 290-pound running back taking the ball on a direct snap.
OK, that might be pushing it, but considering the way redshirt freshman Lawrence Thomas is moving around, nothing seems out of the question.
"If they've got some plans, I'd do it," Thomas said as he and his teammates prepared to face TCU on Saturday in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. "I've got a nice little arm, too. I played quarterback in high school in a couple formations my senior year." ...
