The Detroit News: MSU bowl ticket sales slow; just 2,000 of 11,000 allotment are gone

East Lansing — When Michigan State won its regular-season finale against Minnesota, it was relieved to become bowl-eligible.
The Spartans later accepted a bid to play TCU in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Dec. 29 in Tempe, Ariz. It is far from the Rose Bowl they hoped to play in and it appears the fans are having trouble getting behind the idea the Spartans won't be playing on New Year's Day.
The school announced Monday that approximately 2,000 tickets have been sold. Michigan State has received an allotment of 11,000 tickets to the game. ...
