the atlanta spa shooter indictment

  1. from an article in the wsj:

"A Georgia grand jury indicted Robert Aaron Long on multiple murder counts and other charges for the March 16 spa shootings here, and a prosecutor signaled she would seek the death penalty, according to documents filed Tuesday."

among the charges are 4 counts of murder, 4 counts of felony murder, 5 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 5 counts of possession of a firearm, and 1 count of domestic terrorism

curious about the 5 counts of possession of a firearm. does that mean he had 5 weapons? also don't understand the domestic terrorism charge other than political grandstanding. the guy said he did it because he frequented the spas and he was trying to remove the temptation.

don't fully buy it, do think he is screwed up in the head, but who is the terroristic act against? sex workers because he never once specifically mentioned race or creed in his statements as to why he carried out the shootings.

oh, the other part is the da says she is going to prosecute the crime as a hate crime. again, this seems very dog and pony to me because if he is found guilty of it being a hate crime in georgia they add a minimum of two years onto his sentence, but since she is seeking the death penalty and he is found guilty what does that really add other than making this a political issue?

  2. It is a hate crime because it was revealed the shooter was a very specific Atlanta transit bus driver...
