The Arizona Republic: TCU visits Sun Devil Stadium

One of the main things TCU football coach Gary Patterson did Monday after arriving in the Valley for the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl was take his players to Tempe and walk through Sun Devil Stadium.
Patterson regretted not being able to do that at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale before his team’s Fiesta Bowl game three years ago. TCU lost to Boise State in the 2010 Fiesta Bowl.
“We got checked in and went to the stadium,” Patterson said.
The team will go back again Friday for a team photo. But it was important to Patterson not to waste any time getting the players acquainted with where they will be playing Saturday night against Michigan State.
“At the Fiesta Bowl, because of the NFL,we didn’t get an opportunity to do that,” Patterson said. “Then we went to the Rose Bowl and got that all out of their system. For us, it was just getting these guys used to seeing what they’re going to see, so they don’t worry about anything other than a ballgame.” ...
