Big 12 and TCU TV partner FSSW providing excellent coverage of the state title games. I'm not really a HS football fan, but the state title games are fun to watch, especially if you went to a Texas public high school and can relate.

The 1A, Division 1 title is tied in the fourth quarter right now--Stamford v. Mart at JerryWorld. The Stamford QB/Safety is fun to watch.

Senior Hagen Hutchinson carried Stamford to the win---starting QB scored 2 TDs, including the last to take the lead, then as starting safety caught the game ending/winning pick. Got to share a sports cry with his dad/Stamford head coach on the field at the end. Pretty cool.

Noticed dad kind of gave him "that's enough son" push off. Is great they can share something like that. Do you think he goes to DII to play? Looking at profile not any schools looking at him right now.

It's too bad that the Class 3A Division I title game last year between Alvarado and Tyler Chapel Hill wasn't shown on FOXSports. It was great game.

Munday Moguls 42 Tenaha Tigers 14 in class A Div 1 game. 15-0 Moguls led by Dee Paul with 260+ rushing yards. Paul's father played RB for TCU in the early 80s. According to the latest Scout article, he has offers from TN, TT, OSU, BU, & SMU.

Div 1 Champ Stanford's only loss was to Munday when Dee Paul intercepted Hutchison to seal the 7 point win.

Slightly off-topic: I think I remember hearing that UIL approved adding 6A. Correct? When does it start? Any announcement on enrollment cutoffs or geographic exceptions (thinking about large public schools in rural areas that could get pulled long distances---Midland/Odessa, Abilene, Longview/Tyler, etc.)?

Good game so far! East Benard ahead 7-0 and of course Ty with a big part of the first drive. Good defense making a sack for EB and they have the ball again!

Haven't heard much mentioning of TCU yet. It will happen at half time and closer to the end of the game. Thank goodness haven't heard about the hair do either. :tongue:

EB's #14 just threw an interception but Mildred couldn't do anything and is about to punt.

The change is in name only. Six man is being renamed 1A, 1A is becoming 2A, etc.
