Maybe he could play for the Mean Machine! I hear they like QBs with gambling issues.
…and gotten less return…I bet Sorsby has lost more money on lawyers than gambling.
sand aggiesButt hurt butt Raider.
We need to be thinking about conference realignment.![]()
Sources: NCAA opens inquiry into Cincinnati regarding Sorsby
The NCAA has sent a letter of inquiry to Cincinnati centered on former quarterback Brendan Sorsby's time with the program, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.www.espn.com
Well that's fine and good, but I don't see the Big or the SEC beating down our door.We need to be thinking about conference realignment.
As in, what's best for us if two schools in the league take a hit because of a gambler and a crazed booster.
What do you think will become of this inquiry? I find it hard to believe Cincinnati could claim they didn’t know about the gambling. We need to be thinking about conference realignment.

lol at first I read that as “a gambler and a crazed boozer”.We need to be thinking about conference realignment.

It's entirely possible/likely that they did but I also think it's fairly easy to deny. What do you think will become of this inquiry? I find it hard to believe Cincinnati could claim they didn’t know about the gambling.
Internal emails/communications.It's entirely possible/likely that they did but I also think it's fairly easy to deny.
If you've ever asked a young person if they're doing something wrong, you won't hear them say yes. So it comes down to finding proof of it. Cincy can be accused of not having looked hard enough but it would be tough to prove that they found something and buried it. Even if there is hard evidence against him, how do you prove that Cincy found that evidence?
Cases of people doing wrong things without a smoking gun being produced litter the headlines every day...
It will be hard to prove unless there is a documented knowlege tied to school staff. I haven't seen the reports of where the gambling info originated. Cinci has a suit against that QB because he walked on a contract with them. Is it possible Cinci somehow funneled the story of the gambling out there? Possibly. What do you think will become of this inquiry? I find it hard to believe Cincinnati could claim they didn’t know about the gambling.
Yeah, if they have those and don't delete them ala Urban Meyer. And if the NCAA gets access to them (are we confident in their investigatory skills?).The other option is a potential whistleblower.Internal emails/communications.
I’ll never forget WFAA raking Henry Lee Parker over the coals for using official SMU stationary to mail cash to David Stanley.Internal emails/communications.
If they exist.Internal emails/communications.
I thought I read they use some sort of betting tracking system that alerts them to gambling accounts/bets made etc. I presume guys like Sorsby have cohorts that did the betting for him to avoid detection?Yeah, if they have those and don't delete them ala Urban Meyer. honest mistake ... but I was talking about him, not his wife.lol at first I read that as “a gambler and a crazed boozer”.
