Thanks. Always fun to watch. Brown is so fast on that second clip throw to Brandon Carter. Watch him like a bullet fly into the screen. Amazing.

Thanks a bunch Bonner.... always the best thread of the week.

Couple of thoughts

On the punching Maponga video, Verrett rips Hackett a pretty good one right after Stills drops the pass. Love that intensity.

Holy crap LDBrown appears out of nowhere on that Carter TD... LDBrown is going to be a great one, we just have to get him the ball somehow.

Please for God's sake, try to go vertical more often... Boyce, LDBrown, BCarter, Cam White, Skye Dawson... these guys are really good.

From one of his press conferences a couple weeks ago, GP was really looking forward to the bowl, expecting a lot of improvement during bowl practices, as well as rest and recuperation. Boykin really needs that time off, he is really banged up. Time for the OL to get some work on technique especially for the passing game.

Will we be getting anyone back for the bowl who had missed the last few games? Or is it just a more healed up and rested group that played against OU?

If it's not too late I'd love to see Boykin's tying TD run that was called off from the hold. Don't care to whine about the call but I'd like to see it.

Is it just me or is that Grey special teams tackle one of the more painful hits laid out by a frog this year? Yeah, the returner got up almost right away, but that helmet was either right in the abs where there's not any pads, or right to the nuts, and cup or no cup that's gonna hurt.

That was an old-fashioned tackle like they used to teach in the 50's and early 60's. I remember exercises where you made the tackle with your arms around the knees picked them up and carried them back 10 feet or so. And yeah, top of helmet aimed at crotch.

My thought exactly. Brown did the same thing on one of the other long TD passes, it may have been the one that tied the WV game where he came streaking into the play to escort the runner into the endzone and was obviously moving faster than anyone on the field. Seeing those you have to wonder why they haven't been able to hit him on some deep balls. Dude has the speed to just run away from people.

Well he got a long TD in the Baylor game and the long one in the Tech game. But he clearly seems to be the fastest WR we have once he gets going.

I think that's the issue, getting him going. He's big enough that it takes him a second to get moving. I don't care HOW athletic you are, you don't just burn from the getgo when you weigh 220 pounds.. Would love to seem him run over some DB's though once he got a full head of steam moving with him, no need to juke, just ploy through that 185-190 lb corner trying to get in your way.

You're right, its just been a while since those games, I guess I should have said, I don't see why we haven't been able to hit him long in every freaking game. But as someone else mentioned he is a big guy and takes a little longer to get up to full speed. I'm sure it will help when we have better O-Line protection and a QB that can sit in the pocket and wait for him to come open. Another reason I really hope CP comes back ready to play next year.
