Official: TCU (7-5) will play Michigan State (6-6) in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe, Ariz.

Could be worse match-ups than Michigan State. Probably be picked to win and should provide a W for the B12s bowl records. Of course if you lose that game you're not feeling too good.

Edit: but ya, aside from the match-up, this is probably the bowl I would least like to play in. Can't go and means Tech will get to recruit Houston and Baylor gets what they want in the Holiday Bowl (probably).

Nobody should be disappointed that we were the 4th pick out of the Big 12 conference. This means that the bowl picked TCU above teams that finished ahead of us in the standings.

Again...the early O/U may be set at 17 with TCU opening at -2.5.

I'll be missing it too. Unfortunate that our first Big 12 bowl wasn't closer to home where we would get a decent turnout. I don't think we will travel that well for the BWW bowl. Shame.

Oh well, game should be an old fashioned slugfest. Beat MSU!

Don't they all say we have no fans and can't travel? If that is the case why did we get picked ahead of all of them?

Wow. Even Del Conte thought Tech had the inside track here because they had promised to buy a lot of tickets and highlighted that their fan base was the closest as far as driving distance.

I'm pretty worried about attendance for this one because I've talked to several people that have said they wouldn't make the bowl game if it was outside Texas.

This. And a trip to the desert between Christmas and New Year's Day sounds great. I understand that a lot of folks can't make a bowl game out of state but the players like it or so I have been told today.
