TCU on SI: TCU Lands Luke Bamgboye and Finally Addresses a Major Weakness

I lived in Fort Worth in the 80’s and felt that fine smaller city with the welcoming southern charm of Texans and Texas. Fort Worth was then about 400,000 people but now it is over 1 million so it has likely lost some of that native charm I enjoyed about it then. I suspect Lubbock today with 280,000 people has a lot of what I liked about Fort Worth in the 80’s. And, my experience is that native Texans from my generation who grew up in Fort Worth really like the people in the cities of West Texas.

Now tell me what you mean by ”mecca.” What does Fort Worth have that Lubbock does not? I focused on the warmth and charm of smaller city Texas and its fine native people, and I don’t know that Fort Worth has as much anymore.
Agree with all!.... As if that matters.

Thanks to my wife I watched more Tech bball than I care to remember.

This dude can’t rebound, can’t score, has no fight in him. Maybe a change of scenery will do him well but this isn’t much to get excited about.

5'10" Jalen Petty averaged more rebounds per game than Bamgboye this season. He was a major disappointment for Texas Tech this season.

When TCU beat Tech in Lubbock in March, I don’t remember much about him. We have at least 2-3 new bigs that look better. Knowing Dixon, he will be a defensive specialist.
