Frogs had it on their racket in two matches but Vols went on runs in both to win. Not altogether a bad result IMO. If it’s gonna be this close and we could face again in brackets, I’d prefer it this way.

Just drove through Abilene…still sucks. Nice people though for the most part. Gotta be that way because you sure don’t want to be a jerk to people and make yourself lonely and still have to live there.

Not a bad weekend to split with those 2 teams. Shoulda had this one though. Assuming we get Vives back soon I think Ruehl and Maxted may have played their way out of the lineup for now.

Agreed, but I'd put it as Fearnley having played his way into the line-up.

By the way, Cam Norrie will be opening up at the Aussie against Sebastian Korda at 9:15 this evening. And thanks for all the contributions from numerous Frogs on this thread for this weekend's big matches. The Spring season is going to be fun and we'll probably stay in the Top 5 at least for now. And they'll be a lot more big matches as the schedule is especially tough this year.

Roditi said that Vives has "a lot of game." I think he'll be slotted at doubles if and when he comes back.

Vives is a very good doubles player. He and Maxted won regionals in the fall.

Norrie v. Korda has been delayed until at least 9:45 p.m. They've only played once before; which Korda won. Korda will be making his 2022 debut; Cam has lost 3 straight (to Zverev (now a tourney favorite), FAA and Fritz).

Bad start as Korda breaks early and leads 2-0.
