Seems like college guys are everywhere. Nakashima, Brooksby (if he counts), Isner all won. Rinderknech up 2 sets to 1 vs Shapo.
Rinderknech couldn't finish off Shapo, but Nakashima just did. His second grand slam R3 in a row, as he won two matches at Roland Garros too. Gets Galan(?) next who won in a walkover.

No surprise as Gray falls to #11 seed Fritz in straight sets. Doubt he's ever faced someone of Fritz's caliber in a match that counted. Missed it live but just looking at the score, he seemed to have a few moments. He served for the 2nd set but ended up losing it in a tiebreaker. He was up a break early in the 3rd but lost it quickly.

He played really well until late in 3rd set. He honestly probably should have won sets 1 and 2. When the moments got big he faltered a few times... experience thing.

Brooksby doesn’t count. Did not play a single college match and took classes online from home. Not sure he even practiced with team.

Johnson's come up with some serves right when he needs them. Norrie's missed a lot of easy groundstrokes. When he hasn't made bizarre mistakes, he's won every rally.
