TCU Media Advisory

Aviva Stadium in Dublin for a Notre Dame and Navy game - plenty of space for huge green margins, and low seats are tarped. Iowa State and Kansas State are playing there this year on August 23 - the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.

Not sure why TCU seems hell bent on pissing off fans like this. I get we’re trying to keep up with the Jones, so to speak, but that money well will dry up the more they do stuff like this.

ADMB, you need to listen to get a pulse on the fanbase, because you’ll be lucky to have a half full stadium at this rate.
If Ireland is the announcement, I am not defending the move, but ADMB may have been threatened by UNC/ESPN to take it or leave it. UNC has sway that we don't

UNC Football Moving 2026 Season Opener to Ireland

North Carolina is going international with its 2026 college football season opener, moving an already scheduled game against TCU to Ireland, UNC athletics director Bubba Cunningham announced on Tuesday.

That non-conference matchup has been on the books for Sept. 5, 2026, at TCU. It's a return game in Fort Worth, Texas, following the Horned Frogs' visit to UNC's Kenan Stadium that will open the 2025 season for both teams, along with providing the stage for Bill Belichick's coaching debut.

As part of the deal to move the 2026 opener to Dublin, Ireland, the Tar Heels have negotiated compensation for TCU, sources confirmed, as a means of recouping the revenue that's generated by a home football game.

Up yours TCU. You hiked up ticket prices, told us we were getting more home games, and now your moving yet another marquee non-conference game out of the Carter, and we’re right back to 6 home games for the next two years. Just unbelievable. You’re cowards and liars.

Why did UNC take the lead on this, and negotiate compensation for TCU? It (was) our home game.
AD MB is losing a lot of favor with Frog fans. I could live without him.
But go Frogs and beat the hell out of NC!

Yeah the ADMB saga is not off to a great start to say the least. I was worried he’d be in over his head running a dept like this, and that seems to be the case so far.
