TCU a decade or more ago went through a whole campaign to rebrand to REMOVE Christian from its branding.

Baylor OTOH still never misses an opportuni9ty to try to appeal to the weak-minded Bible thumpers.

The Baylor University Undergraduate Catalog contains the following essential information regarding Chapel:
  • Chapel requirement is two semesters for an entering freshman and for a student who transfers to Baylor from another institution and who is classified by Baylor at the time of transfer as either a freshman or sophomore.
  • Entering freshmen who begin in a fall semester must take Chapel during that semester.
  • Chapel requirement is at least one semester for a student who transfers to Baylor from another institution and who is classified by Baylor at the time of transfer as either a junior or senior.
  • Credit for Chapel requires attendance of at least three-fourths of all meetings.
  • Most students must attend 21 or the 28 Chapel Sessions (MW)each semester
First-Year students involved in University 1000 during the fall semester must attend 26 of the 34 sessions (you may miss 8 chapels and/or University 1000 sessions).

You are a religious school governed by the Church of Christ. The Pac would never allow it. The Baptist Church has nothing to do with us anymore. We operate separate from the church. National Champs in basketball is a huge selling point to the SEC. Plus the Texas market.
No affiliation with the Church of Christ. Affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) And certainly not governed by the denomination. Perhaps time to do a little research and get your facts straight. Have a great day!

You reap what you sow. TCU has a serious problem. They are being courted by the AAC and MWC according to my sources. Baylor, because of our basketball team, will have to turn down invites. Pac-12 wants us, Tech, and OSU, not TCU. They don’t want a school governed by a church. Baylor is also getting feelers from the SEC. Our coach knows the SEC and so we’d be a great fit. Sorry guys. Maybe we can schedule a series again?

"They don’t want a school governed by a church." WTH is Baylor then?

This is wrong to even bring up. Those things happened a long time ago. I could bring up the fact that TCU’s team was busted for dealing drugs a few years ago.
Somehow I don't think smoking weed in a conference where all the schools are in legalized weed states is quite as egregious as rape and murder. But that's just me.

This guy is a parody account right? Whose sock is this?! o_O

Truth is we’re both in pretty much the same situation which is hoping the PAC wants a major merger with all/most of the B8 schools.

Wrong, ACU (Abilene Christian U.) is church of Christ. TCU is Disciples of christ, and not governed by it, never has been.

Moron Gaylor Dan.

Disciple of Christ church affiliation.

I wouldn't expect a peckerwood like you would know or appreciate the difference.
